God our Healer- Miracle Healing Rally

When I first heard about the Miracle Healing Rally, I was determined to attend it, not because I need a miracle in the form of healing, but to be a witness of God’s might and power which in turn would build my faith in Christ. Rev Raymond essentially divided the rally into three parts. The first part before the healing, he essentially talked about the reality of God and the reality of man. Due to man's fallen nature, the reality of man is that man is subjected to pain and diseases. However, because God is all powerful, He is not subjected to these things. And God wants us to be healed and to experience His reality of His love and who He is. This can be reflected when Nicodemus knew Jesus was God simply through the miracles He performed for people, and God wants a similar experience for us so that we would know who God is. It is through Jesus that we can experience divine healing because by His stripes, we are healed. Rev Raymond recapped the Gospel and proceeded with the second part of the rally which is the healing itself where many were healed. The deaf hear, people with broken legs can walk normally again etc. In simpler terms, many people experienced healing that was deemed impossible by man’s standard. My favorite part of the rally is the third part, where after the healing, Rev Raymond essentially gave a warning to the church. He talked about the story of Gideon where he asked God that if God is really with him, where are the miracles? The reason why he was facing this dilemma was because the people of Israel have turned their backs on God and started worshiping idols. In doing so, they have forfeited miracles from God. He asked “How can you expect a miracle from God, if we (the church) do not build an altar and prepare a sacrifice”. This question was very heavy. Are we as a church building altars or stages? Are we as a church offering sacrifices to God? God needs people who bring sacrifices to the altar, then God will come. Do not be man oriented but God oriented. And after that heavy message, he opened an altar call for the church to rededicate themselves to God and it was a very beautiful moment because it gave an opportunity for believers to stop and evaluate their position with God. Overall, it was a faith-empowering experience indeed and I am writing this so that whoever reads this may be blessed to.
